Action

The ride is too soft.

Inspect for the following conditions:

    • Wear or damage to the strut and the shock absorbers
    • Broken, sagging, or mispositioned springs

The ride is too hard.

Inspect for the following conditions:

    • Strut or shock absorber installation with the incorrect part number
    • Incorrect tire pressure

The vehicle leads/pulls.

Inspect for the following conditions:

    • Mismatched or uneven tires
    • Broken, sagging, or mispositioned springs
    • Radial tire lateral force
    • Incorrect wheel alignment
    • Dragging front brakes

The vehicle body leans or sways in corners.

Inspect for the following conditions:

    • Wear or damage to the strut, the shock absorbers, and the mounting
    • Broken, sagging, or mispositioned springs
    • Signs of vehicle abuse and overloading
    • Incorrect tire pressure

The suspension bottoms.

Inspect for the following conditions:

    • Signs of vehicle abuse and overloading
    • Wear or damage to the strut or the shock absorbers
    • Broken, sagging, or mispositioned springs

Abnormal or excessive tire wear exists.

Inspect for the following conditions:

    • Misaligned wheels
    • Excessive toe or camber
    • Broken, sagging, or mispositioned springs
    • Incorrect tire balance
    • Wear or damage to the strut or to the shock absorbers
    • Signs of vehicle abuse
    • Uneven or excessive loading of the vehicle
    • Incorrect tire pressure

Dog Tracking exists.

Inspect for the following conditions:

    • Wear or damage to the rear suspension and the bushings
    • Damage to the frame and the underbody alignment
