Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement Inlet Line
Removal Procedure
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling and Radiator.
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
- Place the drain pan under the engine in order to catch any fluids
that may drain.
- Remove the oil filter.
- Disconnect the inlet hose from the oil cooler.
- Disconnect the inlet hose from the block fitting.
- Remove the inlet hose.
Installation Procedure
- Install the inlet hose.
- Connect the inlet hose to the block fitting.
- Connect the inlet hose to the oil cooler.
- Install the oil filter. Lubricate the seal with engine oil. Refer
to Maintenance and Lubrication.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Cooling and Radiator.
- Add engine oil as necessary. Refer to Maintenance and Lubrication.
- Inspect for leaks if necessary.
Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement Outlet Line
Removal Procedure
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling and Radiator.
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
- Disconnect the outlet hose from the oil
cooler.
- Disconnect the outlet hose from the thermostat bypass pipe.
- Remove the outlet hose.
Installation Procedure
- Install the outlet hose.
- Connect the outlet hose to the thermostat bypass pipe.
- Connect the outlet hose to the oil cooler.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Cooling and Radiator.
- Add engine oil as necessary. Refer to Maintenance and Lubrication.
