Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the air cleaner duct. Refer to Engine Controls.

    2. Object Number: 161134 Size: SH
  2. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable from the automatic transaxle range selector lever.
  3. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable from the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable bracket.

    4. Object Number: 161137 Size: SH
  4. Remove the steering column opening filler. Refer to Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  5. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    6. Object Number: 161141 Size: SH
  6. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable from the column control lever. Refer to Steering Wheel, and Column On-Vehicle Service.

    7. Object Number: 161140 Size: SH
  7. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable from the steering column bracket. Refer to Steering Wheel, and Column On-Vehicle Service.

    8. Object Number: 161138 Size: SH
  8. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable through the hole in the cowl.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 161144 Size: SH
  1. Properly route the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable through the engine compartment.

    2. Object Number: 161138 Size: SH
  2. Properly route the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable through the cowl.

    3. Object Number: 161140 Size: SH
  3. Install the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable to the steering column bracket. Refer to Steering Wheel, and Column On-Vehicle Service.

    4. Object Number: 161141 Size: SH
  4. Install the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable to the column control lever. Refer to Steering Wheel, and Column On-Vehicle Service.

    5. Object Number: 161137 Size: SH
  5. Install the steering column opening filler. Refer to Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  6. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    7. Object Number: 161134 Size: SH
  7. Install the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable to the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable bracket.
  8. Install the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable to the automatic transaxle range selector lever.
  9. Adjust the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable if necessary. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment .
  10. Install the air cleaner duct. Refer to Engine Controls.
