Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 343984 Size: SH
  1. Close the sunroof.
  2. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement In Interior Trim.

    3. Object Number: 343983 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the actuator and the express module.
  4. Disconnect the rear drain hose connections from the sunroof housing.
  5. Disconnect the front drain hose connections from the sunroof housing.

    6. Object Number: 343986 Size: SH
  6. Remove the sunroof module bolts.
  7. Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle through the door opening.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 343986 Size: SH
  1. Install the sunroof module to the vehicle through the door opening.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the sunroof module bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the front drain hose connections from the sunroof housing.
  4. Connect the rear drain hose connections from the sunroof housing.
  5. Connect the electrical connector to the actuator and the express module.

    6. Object Number: 343984 Size: SH
  6. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement In Interior Trim.
  7. Check the operation of the sunroof.
