Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1282124 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the tailgate lower trim panel.
  3. Disconnect the tailgate tamper switch electrical connector from the tamper switch.
  4. Remove the bolts.
  5. Remove the tailgate lock and the tailgate tamper switch.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1282124 Size: SH
  1. Install the tailgate lock and the tailgate tamper switch.
  2. Install the bolts.
  3. Connect the tailgate tamper switch electrical connector to the tamper switch.
  4. Install the tailgate lower trim panel.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
