Removal Procedure

  1. Remove engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet front duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct Replacement.

  3. Object Number: 2028277  Size: SH
  4. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe bracket bolt (1).
  5. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe clamp (2).
  6. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe (3) from the turbocharger.

  7. Object Number: 2027669  Size: SH
  8. Remove the 2 EGR valve pipe nuts (3).
  9. Remove the 2 EGR valve pipe bolts (4).
  10. Remove the EGR valve pipe (2).
  11. Remove the 2 EGR valve pipe gaskets (1).

  12. Object Number: 2027701  Size: SH
  13. Remove the 2 EGR valve nuts.
  14. Remove the EGR valve.
  15. Remove the EGR valve gasket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2027701  Size: SH

    Note: Ensure that the sealing surfaces from the EGR valve and the EGR cooler are clear of old gasket material.

  1. Install a NEW EGR valve gasket (1).
  2. Install the EGR valve (2).
  3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the 2 EGR valve bolts (3) and tighten to  20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Object Number: 2027669  Size: SH
  6. Install 2  NEW EGR valve pipe gaskets (1).
  7. Install the EGR valve pipe (2).
  8. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  9. Install the 2 EGR valve pipe bolts (4) and tighten to  20 N·m (15 lb ft).
  10. Install the 2  EGR valve pipe nuts (3) and tighten to  33 N·m (25 lb ft).

  11. Object Number: 2028277  Size: SH
  12. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe (3) to the turbocharger.
  13. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe clamp (2).
  14. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  15. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe bracket bolt (1) and tighten to 5 N·m (45 lb in).
  16. Install the air cleaner outlet front duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct Replacement.
  17. Install engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
