Removal Procedure
  1. Open hood.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 2028049 Size: SH

    Note: Mark the positions from the vacuum hoses for installation position.

  3. Remove the 2 vacuum hoses from the vacuum modulator (3).
  4. Disconnect the wiring harness plug from the vacuum modulator.
  5. Remove the 2 vacuum modulator bolts (2).
  6. Remove the vacuum modulator (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2028049 Size: SH
  1. Install the vacuum modulator (3).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the 2 vacuum modulator bolts (2) and tighten to  7 N·m (62 lb in).
  3. Install the 2 vacuum hoses to the vacuum modulator (3).
  4. Connect the wiring harness plug to the vacuum modulator.
  5. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
  6. Close hood.
