Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- With the vehicle on a level surface and the fluid in the transaxle cold, remove the transmission oil drain plug (1) and check the fluid level. The fluid should come to the bottom edge of the plug hole.
- If the level is low, add manual transmission fluid through the filler plug hole (1) until the fluid begins to run out.

Installation Procedure
- Install the transmission oil drain plug (1) and tighten to xx N·m(xx lb in).
- If the fluid is contaminated, drain the oil after removing the differential gear cover. Refer to Transmission Fluid Replacement.
- Lower the vehicle.
