Removal Procedure

    Warning: The transaxle fluid is hot. Caution must be taken to prevent personal injury when the transaxle fluid drains from the transaxle.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 2027802 Size: SH
  2. Remove the clutch and differential housing cover bolts (3).
  3. Remove the clutch and differential housing cover (2) and allow the transmission to drain completely.
  4. Remove the clutch and differential housing cover gasket (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2027802 Size: SH
  1. Install the clutch and differential housing cover gasket (1).
  2. Install the clutch and differential housing cover (2).

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the clutch and differential housing cover bolts (3) and tighten to xx N·m(xx lb ft).

    4. Object Number: 2027606 Size: SH
  4. Remove the transmission oil drain plug (1) and add transmission fluid until it it seeps out of the fluid level check plug hole.
  5. Install the transmission oil drain plug and tighten to xx N·m(xx lb in).
  6. Lower the vehicle.
