Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement 2.0L Diesel LLW

Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
  2. Remove front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement.

  3. Object Number: 2027253  Size: SH
  4. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) from A/C condenser (2).

  5. Object Number: 2028101  Size: SH
  6. Remove A/C compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) from A/C compressor (2).

  7. Object Number: 2027259  Size: SH
  8. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) from refrigerant hose (2).
  9. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose.

Installation Procedure

    Note: Use NEW O-ring seals. Refer to O-Ring Replacement.

  1. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2027259  Size: SH
  3. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) to refrigerant hose (2). Tighten nut to  19 N·m (14 lb in).

  4. Object Number: 2028101  Size: SH
  5. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) to A/C compressor (2). Tighten bolt to  19 N·m (14 lb in).

  6. Object Number: 2027253  Size: SH
  7. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) to A/C condenser (2). Tighten nut to  19 N·m (14 lb in).
  8. Install front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement.
  9. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
