Removal Procedure
  1. Remove instrument panel compartment assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 2027818 Size: SH
  2. Remove instrument panel wiring harness (2) from instrument panel tie bar (1).

    3. Disconnect electrical connectors.

  3. Remove instrument panel tie bar (2).

    4. Remove 4 instrument panel tie bar bolts (3, 4).

    Remove 2 instrument panel tie bar nuts (1).

  4. Remove air conditioning module wiring harness.

    5. Disconnect electrical connectors.

  5. Remove heater core. Refer to Heater Core Replacement.
  6. Remove blower motor. Refer to Blower Motor Replacement.
  7. Remove heater and blower and air conditioning control module. Refer to Heater and Blower and Air Conditioning Control Module Replacement.

  8. Remove heater and air conditioning evaporator case (2) from heater and blower and air conditioning control module (1).

    9. Remove 10 heater and air conditioning evaporator case bolts (3).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2027829 Size: SH
  1. Install heater and air conditioning evaporator case (2) to heater and blower and air conditioning control module (1).

    2. Install 10 heater and air conditioning evaporator case bolts (3) and tighten to  XX N·m (XX lb in).

  2. Install heater and blower and air conditioning control module. Refer to Heater and Blower and Air Conditioning Control Module Replacement.
  3. Install blower motor. Refer to Blower Motor Replacement.
  4. Install heater core. Refer to Heater Core Replacement.

    5. Object Number: 2027609 Size: SH
  5. Install air conditioning module wiring harness.

    6. Connect electrical connectors.


    Object Number: 2027821 Size: SH
  6. Install instrument panel tie bar (2).

    7. Install 4 instrument panel tie bar bolts (3 4) and tighten to  22 N·m (16 lb in).

    Install 2 instrument panel tie bar nuts (1) and tighten to  XX N·m (XX lb in).

  7. Install instrument panel wiring harness (2) from instrument panel tie bar (1).

    8. Connect electrical connectors.

  8. Install instrument panel compartment assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
