When the headlight switch is placed in low beam position, the BCM applies a voltage to the head lamps through there respective voltage supply circuits.
The appropriate turn signal is inactive.
The appropriate turn signal is active.
The BCM detects a short to voltage on the control circuit.
The BCM detects a short to ground on the control circuit.
The BCM detects an open control circuit.
The appropriate turn signal is inoperative.
The condition for setting the DTC is not longer present.

Ignition ON, command the body control module, perform the Low Beams test. The head lamps should be ON/OFF.
• | E13L Headlamp Assembly - Left ground circuit harness connector terminal 3 |
• | E13R Headlamp Assembly - Right ground circuit harness connector terminal 3 |
⇒ | If greater than the specified value, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. |
• | E13L Headlamp Assembly - Left signal circuit harness connector terminal 2 |
• | E13R Headlamp Assembly - Right signal circuit harness connector terminal 2 |
⇒ | If the test lamp is always ON, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K9 Body Control Module (BCM). |
⇒ | If the test lamp is always OFF, test the Signal circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the K9 Body Control Module (BCM). |
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
