DTC Descriptor

DTC B3926: Screen 1 Theft Locked

DTC B3927: Screen 2 Theft Locked

The DVD screen and rear seat entertainment interface module communicate with each other to verify that a security code relayed between the two components is valid. The DTC will pass when the both components acknowledge a matching code.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

•	The RSE system transitions from OFF to ON. This may be in response to the RSE system power switch or an ignition key cycle.

•	This DTCs will set when there is a security code mismatch.

•	Battery voltage must be between 9-16 volts.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The system will enter the Theft Detected Mode.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

•	The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present.

•	The history DTC will clear after 50 fault-free ignition cycles.

•	The DTC can be cleared using a scan tool.

Circuit/System Testing

Verify that DTC B3926 or B3927 is set to current.

⇒	If DTC B3926 or B3927 is set to current and "Security Error" is displayed on the screen attempt DVD screen to rear seat entertainment interface module auto-learn procedure.

RSE system OFF, ignition OFF, wait for 30 seconds.
Ignition ON, RSE system ON, select the DVD function for the system, verify that DVD screen functions correctly.
