SOME EARLY PRODUCTION VEHICLES HAD BOOTS WITH IMPROPERLY FORMULATED RUBBER. THIS CONDITION WILL MOSTLY BE EVIDENT IN COLD AMBIENTS BELOW 32 DEGREES F (0 DEGREES C).
TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION, REPLACE THE TRANSFER CASE BOOT WITH P/N 91172266.
