Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1759014 Size: SH

    Important: The left-hand drive model is shown. The right-hand drive is similar.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the air inlet grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the wiper motor bolts.
  4. Pry the wiper arm linkage off the motor driveshaft.
  5. Disconnect the wiper module electrical connector at the motor.

  6. Remove the bolts and the wiper motor.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1759021 Size: SH
  1. Install the wiper motor with the bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the wiper motor bolts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  2. Connect the electrical connector.

    3. Object Number: 1759025 Size: SH
  3. Press the wiper arm linkage onto the motor driveshaft.
  4. Install the wiper arm linkage to the motor driveshaft with the bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the wiper arm linkage nut to 10 N·m (89 lb ft).

  5. Install the air inlet grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
