Stop Lamp Switch Replacement RHD

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel lower right trim plate assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side.
  2. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1943571 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the brake pedal position sensor electrical connector (1).
  4. Remove the brake pedal position sensor to brake pedal bracket retaining bolt (4).
  5. Disengage the brake pedal position sensor locating tab (3) from the brake pedal bracket (2).
  6. Remove the brake pedal position sensor (5).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1943571 Size: SH
  1. Connect the brake pedal position sensor electrical connector (1).
  2. Align the brake pedal position sensor (5).

    3. Engage the brake pedal position sensor locating tab (3) to the brake pedal bracket (2).

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the brake pedal position sensor to brake pedal bracket retaining bolt (4).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 3 N·m (26 lb ft).

  4. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement.
  5. Install the instrument panel lower right trim plate assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side.
  6. Calibrate the brake pedal position sensor (5). Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Adjustment.
