Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1308107 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the upper and the lower steering column cover and panel by removing the screws.

    3. Object Number: 1248391 Size: SH

    Important: Make sure not to drop the ignition cylinder solenoid spring.

  3. Remove the ignition cylinder solenoid screws and the ignition cylinder solenoid.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1248391 Size: SH
  1. Connect the ignition cylinder solenoid electrical connector.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the ignition cylinder solenoid with the screws.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the ignition cylinder solenoid screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the upper and the lower steering column cover panel with the screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the upper and the lower steering column cover panel screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
