Hose Clamp Plier
Removal Procedure
Drain the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
Remove the inlet hose clamp from the heater hose.
Remove the inlet heater hose from the engine.
Remove the hose clamp (2) from the heater hose.
Remove the inlet heater hose from the heater core.
Remove the inlet heater hose bracket from the cab.
Remove the heater hose bracket bolt (1) from the radiator support.
Remove the heater hose clamp bolts (1) from the brackets.
Using
J 38185
disconnect the heater hose from the heater pipe (2).
Remove the heater hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Install the inlet heater hose into the vehicle.
Using
J 38185
connect the heater hose to the heater pipe (2).
Install the inlet heater hose clamp to the brackets.
Install the inlet heater hose mounting bolts (1).
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
Install the heater hose bracket bolt (1) to the radiator support.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
Install the heater hose bracket to the cab.
Install the hose clamp (2) to the heater core.
Install the heater hose to the engine.
Fill with engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
