Voltage is available at the heated mirror switch through the ignition circuit with the ignition switch in the ON position. When the heated mirror switch is closed, voltage is available at the outside mirror switch indicator and becomes illuminated. The indicator remains illuminated until the switch is open or the ignition is OFF.

Ignition ON, command the heated outside rearview mirrors ON and OFF by using the heated mirror switch. The heated mirror switch indicator should illuminate ON and OFF when changing between the commanded states.
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. |
⇒ | If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, replace the heated mirror switch. |
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, replace heated mirror switch. |
