Removal Procedure

  1. Tilt the cab. Refer to Cab Tilting in General Information.
  2. Remove the cooling fan. Refer to Fan Replacement .
  3. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

  4. Object Number: 209225  Size: SH
  5. Remove the upper radiator hose. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement .
  6. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir hose.
  7. Remove the fan shroud bolts.
  8. Remove the fan shroud.
  9. Clean the fan shroud with a cloth in order to remove dirt and grease.
  10. Inspect the fan shroud for cracks and warping.
  11. Replace the fan shroud if the fan shroud is damaged.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 209225  Size: SH
  1. Install the fan shroud.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the fan shroud bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fan shroud bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Install the coolant recovery reservoir hose.
  6. Install the upper radiator hose. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement .
  7. Install the cooling fan. Refer to Fan Replacement .
  8. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  9. Lower the cab. Refer to Cab Tilting in General Information.
