Removal Procedure
- Tilt the cab.Refer to
Cab Tilting
in General Information.
- Drain the coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Remove the radiator outlet
hose clamp from the coolant inlet (1).
- Remove the radiator outlet hose clamp from the radiator outlet.
- Remove the following from the radiator
outlet hose bracket (4).
Installation Procedure
- Install the following to the radiator
outlet hose bracket (4).
Tighten
Tighten the bolts (3) to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the radiator
outlet hose (3) and clamps.
Tighten
Tighten the clamps to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Inspect the system for leaks.
- Lower the cab. Refer to
Cab Tilting
in General Information.
