Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to IP Carrier Replacement in Instrument Panel and Gauges.
  3. Remove the right heater core. Refer to Heater Core Replacement .
  4. Remove the A/C Tempature Sensor connectors screw.
  5. Remove the left heater core. Refer to Heater Core Replacement .
  6. Disconnect the A/C Tempature Sensor connectors electrical connectors.
  7. Remove the A/C Tempature Sensor connectors.
  8. Remove the air conditioning evaporator. Refer to Evaporator Core Replacement .
  9. Disconnect the blower motor resistor electrical connectors.
  10. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connectors.
  11. Remove the heater vent module nuts.

  13. Remove the right heater vent module.

  14. Object Number: 229929  Size: SH
  15. Remove the left heater vent module.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 229929  Size: SH
  1. Install the left heater vent module.

  2. Object Number: 229927  Size: SH
  3. Install the right heater vent module.
  4. Install the heater vent module nuts.
  5. Install the blower motor electrical connectors.
  6. Install the blower motor resistor electrical connectors.
  7. Install the air conditioning evaporator. Refer to Evaporator Core Replacement .
  8. Install the A/C Tempature Sensor connectors.
  9. Connect the A/C Tempature Sensor connectors electrical connectors.
  10. Install the A/C Tempature Sensor connectors screw.
  11. Install the heater cores. Refer to Heater Core Replacement .
  12. Install the instrument panel. Refer to IP Carrier Replacement in Instrument Panel and Gauges.
  13. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
