  6. Install the primary evaporator core cover and foam insulator.
  7. Install the primary evaporator core cover screws.
  8. Coat the new O-ring seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
  9. Install the new O-ring seal.

  10. Object Number: 229714 Size: SH
  11. Install the high pressure hose to the evaporator.
  12. Coat the new O-ring seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
  13. Install the new O-ring seal.
  14. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  15. Install the low pressure hose to the evaporator.
  16. Tighten

        • Tighten the evaporator high pressure hose fitting at the condensor to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).
        • Tighten the evaporator low pressure hose fitting at the evaporator to 32 N·m (24 lb ft).
  17. Install the hose bracket and nut.
  18. Tighten
Tighten the nut to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  19. Push the right wiper arm linkage carefully onto the wiper arm pivot.
  20. Charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  21. Inspect the system for leaks. Refer to Leak Testing .
