For 1990-2009 cars only
- In order to achieve proper adhesion, apply name plates in an environment free of dust or dirt.
- Clean the area where the replacement item will be mounted with a suitable solvent such as flash naphtha or a mixture of 50 percent isopropyl/alcohol and 50 percent water.
- Dry the area thoroughly.
- Keep the body area and name plate at a temperature range between 26-40°C (80-105°F).
- If necessary, carefully heat the body area and apply heat to the back of the name plate.
- Remove the protective liner from the emblem.
- Line the name plate up with the locating holes in the hood and press into position.
