SUBJECT: SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE - SECTIONS 3G AND 8C - REVISED REMOVE/INSTALL PROCEDURE FOR COMPUTER COMMAND RIDE MODULE (CCR)

MODEL: 1993 OLDSMOBILE ACHIEVA

THIS BULLETIN REPLACES THE REMOVE/INSTALL PROCEDURE FOR THE "COMPUTER COMMAND RIDE MODULE" LOCATED IN SECTIONS 3G AND 8C OF THE SERVICE MANUAL.

THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE SHOULD BE USED:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT: (SEE ILLUSTRATION)

1. HORN PAD, PRY OFF.

2. (2) HORN CONNECTORS.

3. STEERING WHEEL. REFER TO SECTION 3F.

4. UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER.

5. I/P CLUSTER TRIM PLATE.

6. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ASSEMBLY FROM DASH, (4) SCREWS.

7. LEFT SOUND INSULATOR PANEL, (3) SCREWS.

8. DISCONNECT EXPRESS WINDOW DOWN MODULE CONNECTOR.

9. STEERING COLUMN FILLER PANEL.

10. DISCONNECT DLC CONNECTOR FROM PANEL.

11. FUSE BLOCK FROM BRACKET BY DEPRESSING BLACK TAB.

12. MULTIFUNCTIONAL ALARM MODULE. REFER TO SECTION 8C.

13. COMPUTER COMMAND MODULE.

INSTALL OR CONNECT:

1. COMPUTER COMMAND MODULE.

2. MULTIFUNCTIONAL ALARM MODULE. REFER TO SECTION 8C.

3. FUSE BLOCK TO BRACKET.

4. DLC CONNECTOR TO PANEL.

5. STEERING COLUMN FILLER PANEL.

6. CONNECT EXPRESS WINDOW DOWN MODULE CONNECTOR.

7. LEFT SOUND INSULATOR PANEL, (3) SCREWS.

8. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ASSEMBLY TO DASH, (4) SCREWS.

9. I/P CLUSTER TRIM PLATE.

10. UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER.

11. STEERING WHEEL. REFER TO SECTION 3F.

12. (2) CONNECTORS TO THE HORN.

13. HORN PAD.
