Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement Pontiac

1. Remove the accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement .



2. Unsnap the center compartment (3) from the instrument panel (1).

1. Snap the center compartment (3) into the instrument panel (1).
2. Install the accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement .

Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement .



3. Remove the screws securing the center compartment (3).
4. Remove the center compartment (3).
5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

1. Connect the electrical connector.
2. Install the center compartment (3).
3. Install the screws in order to secure the center compartment (3).
4. Install the accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement .
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
