Important: A short to ground will cause an open fuse(s). Before performing this diagnostic procedure, inspect the fuse(s) for an open.

Open the right rear door while observing the interior lamps.

Do the interior lamps turn on when the door is opened?

Go to Step 2

Go to Door Ajar Switch Diagnosis in Doors

1. Use a fused jumper in order to backprobe terminal D of the remote control door lock receiver connector.
2. Close all of the doors. Close the rear deck lid.
3. When the interior lamps turn off, ground the fused jumper.

Do the interior lamps light?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Replace the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Receiver Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

System OK

--

Repair the open in CKT 194 between the remote control door lock receiver and the left IP wiring harness junction block.

Is the repair complete?
