Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
  3. Remove the drivers side inflator module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.
  4. Remove the IP cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
  5. Remove the IP cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

  6. Object Number: 276295  Size: SH
  7. Remove the cruise control switch (1, 2). Pry outward with a flat bladed tool.
  8. Disconnect the electrical connections.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connections.

  2. Object Number: 276295  Size: SH
  3. Install the cruise control switch (1, 2). Ensure the unit is retained.
  4. Install the IP cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
  5. Install the IP cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
  6. Install the drivers side inflator module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.
  7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
