Transmission Mount Replacement Left
Removal Procedure
- Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the bolt attaching
the mount to the frame.
- Remove the transmission to engine brace.
- Remove the bolts attaching
the mount to the transmission.
- Remove the front transmission mount and the oil cooler bracket.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front transmission
mount and the oil cooler bracket to the transmission.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).
- Install the through bolt
attaching the mount to the frame.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 85 N·m (63 lb ft).
- Install the transmission to engine brace.
- Remove the support stands.
- Lower the vehicle.
Transmission Mount Replacement Right
Removal Procedure
- Remove the transmission to cylinderhead brace nuts.
- Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the front exhaust pipe. Refer to
Exhaust System Description
.
- Remove the steering rack retaining bolts.
- As necessary, position the steering rack away from the mount.
- Support the transmission with the transmission jack.
- Remove the through bolt
and the nut.
- Remove the mount-to-frame nuts and bolts.
- Remove the mount from the frame.
- Remove the mount-to-transmission bolts.
- Remove the mount from the transmission.
Installation Procedure
- Install the mount to the
transmission.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to the transmission to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).
- Install the mount to the frame.
Tighten
Tighten the mount-to-frame nuts and bolts to 73 N·m (54 lb ft).
- Install the mount through bolt and nut.
Tighten
Tighten the through bolt to 102 N·m (75 lb ft).
- Remove the transmission jack.
- Install the steering rack.
- Install the front exhaust pipe. Refer to
Exhaust System Description
.
- Install the transmission to cylinderhead brace nuts.
- Lower the vehicle.
Transmission Mount Replacement Rear
Removal Procedure
- Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Install the jack stand in order to support the powertrain.
- Remove the left front tire and wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires
and Wheels.
- Remove the nuts attaching the mount bracket to the mount.
- Remove the bolts attaching
the mount bracket to the transmission.
- Remove the bolts attaching
the left-side mount to the frame. Then, remove the mount.
Installation Procedure
- Install the mount to the
frame. Install the bolts.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners

Tighten
Tighten the mount bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
- Install the bracket and
the bolts to the transmission.
Tighten
Tighten the bracket-to-transmission bolts to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).
- Install the nuts that secure the bracket to the mount.
Tighten
Tighten the bracket-to-mount nuts to 40 N·m (29 lb ft).
- Install the left tire and wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires
and Wheels.
- Remove the jack stand.
- Lower the vehicle.
