Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Lower the center air deflector.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pressure switch.

  4. Object Number: 62328  Size: SH
  5. Remove the oil filter.
  6. Disconnect the oil cooler and lines at the adapter if equipped.

  7. Object Number: 62336  Size: SH
  8. Remove the oil filter adapter retaining bolts.
  9. Remove the oil filter adapter.
  10. Remove the oil pressure switch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 62336  Size: SH
  1. Position the oil filter adapter on the crankcase.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the oil filter adapter retaining bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter adapter retaining bolts to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  5. Install the oil filter pressure sensor.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pressure sensor to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  7. Fill the oil filter with oil.
  8. Install the oil filter.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter to 32 N·m (24 lb ft).

  10. Install the oil cooler lines using new O-rings if equipped.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the oil cooler lines to 18 N·m (12 lb ft) if equipped.

  12. Connect the electrical connector onto the oil pressure switch.
  13. Lower the center air deflector.
  14. Lower the vehicle.
  15. Adjust the oil level to the MAX mark.
