The battery positive terminal is connected to the battery junction block in the engine compartment by a CKT 1 (BLK) cable and to the RH rear fuse block by another CKT 1 (BLK) cable. Three CKT 1 (BLK) cables connected to the battery junction block provide connections to the following:

    • The starter solenoid.
    • The generator.
    • The engine compartment fuse block.

The battery negative terminal is connected to chassis ground G301 (beneath the rear seat) via a CKT 50 (BLK) ground cable. A CKT 50 (BLK) jumper in the engine compartment provides a ground connection from chassis ground G110 to engine ground G102. This jumper is a single wire for Oldsmobile (VIN C); it is part of the battery positive cable assembly for Buick (VIN 1).
