Was the PARK BRAKE SET message displayed during the Brake Warning System Check?

Go to Step 4

1. Disconnect the instrument cluster and the brake fluid level sensor.
2. Connect a DMM between the instrument cluster harness connector C2, terminal B2 and the brake fluid level sensor harness connector terminal C.

Is the resistance less than the specified range?

5 ohms

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Perform the Instrument Cluster System Check. Refer to Instrument Cluster System Check in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

If no problems were found, replace the instrument cluster.

Go to Brake Warning System Check

Repair open in CKT 209 (PPL). If the circuit is open, test for a short to positive voltage.
