Did you perform the entire Interior Lights System Check?

  1. Disconnect the suspect door lock actuator connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper between ground and the appropriate door lock actuator connector cavity:
  3. • LH front door: cavity A (BLK)
    • RH front door (Oldsmobile): cavity D (DK BLU)
    • RH front door (Buick): cavity B  (YEL)
    • rear doors (Oldsmobile): cavity A (DK BLU)

Do all of the courtesy lamps light?

Inspect CKT 151 (BLK/WHT) for an open. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 151 OK?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 7

Inspect the appropriate circuit for an open or short to voltage:

    • LH front door: CKT 155 (BLK)
    • RH front door (Oldsmobile): CKT 49 (DK BLU)
    • RH front door (Buick): CKT 528 (YEL)
    • rear doors (Oldsmobile): CKT 49 (DK BLU)

Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 49 OK?

Replace the suspect rear door lock actuator. Refer to Door Lock Actuator Replacement or Rear Side Door Lock Actuator Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the body control module (MALL). Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the repair complete?
