Did you perform the entire Exterior Lights System Check?

  1. Disconnect the stoplamp/BTSI connector C2.
  2. Measure the voltage to ground at the stoplamp/BTSI switch connector C2 cavity A (ORN).

Is battery voltage measured?

Go to Step 3

Connect a fused jumper between the stoplamp/brake switch connector cavity A (ORN) and cavity B (WHT)

Do the stop lamps light?

--

Go to Step 4

Replace the stoplamp/BTSI switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Replacement in Hydraulic Brakes.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 140 (ORN). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Inspect CKT 17 (WHT) for an open. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 17 OK?

Replace the turn/hazard switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
