Instrument Panel Compartment Door Lock Cylinder Replacement Buick

1. Remove the rear compartment lid release enable switch. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Valet Lock Out Switch Replacement .



2. Insert a key into the lock cylinder.
3. Insert a hook tool through the rear compartment lid release enable switch hole (1).

Depress the lock cylinder retainer tab.

4. Turn the key in a counterclockwise direction a quarter turn from the unlocked position.
5. Remove the lock cylinder from the housing.

1. Install the lock cylinder into the housing.
2. Turn the key a quarter turn in a clockwise direction.

Remove the key.

3. Install the rear compartment lid release enable switch. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Valet Lock Out Switch Replacement .

Instrument Panel Compartment Door Lock Cylinder Replacement Oldsmobile

1. Insert the key into the lock cylinder.
2. Insert a hook tool through the hole (3) on the inside of the IP storage compartment and depress the lock cylinder retaining tab.



3. Turn the key counter clockwise a quarter turn from the locked position.
4. Remove the lock cylinder.

1. Install the lock cylinder to the IP storage compartment (1).
2. Turn the key a quarter turn clockwise and remove the key.
