Is the remote keyless entry system inoperative from both transmitters?

  1. Replace the transmitter battery.
  2. Resynchronize the transmitter. Refer to Transmitter Synchronization

  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the remote function actuator (RFA) module connector.
  3. Measure the voltage between the RFA module connector terminal E16 and ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Repair the open or the short to ground in CKT 40 (ORN).

Is the repair complete?

Measure the voltage between the RFA module connector terminals E16 and F16.

Repair the open in CKT 1050 (BLK).
