Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the injector sight shield if necessary. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical.

    2. Object Number: 289630 Size: SH

    Important: Remember the cable routing for the replacement procedure.

  2. Disconnect the cruise control cable (1) from the following components:
    3. • The TBI cam
    • The throttle body bracket

    Object Number: 289633 Size: SH
  3. Remove the cruise control cable (2) from the cruise control module (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 289633 Size: SH
  1. Install the cruise control cable (2) to the cruise control module (1).

    2. Object Number: 289630 Size: SH
  2. Connect the cruise control cable (1) to the following components:
    3. • The TBI cam
    • The throttle body bracket
  3. Adjust the cable. Refer to Cruise Control Cable Adjustment .
  4. Install the injector sight shield if necessary. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
