  2. Connect a test lamp between fuel door release switch connector terminal A and ground.

  1. Test the F/DR REL fuse.
  2. If OK, repair the open or short to ground in CKT 740, ORN.

Is the symptom still present?

Connect a test lamp between fuel door release switch connector terminal A and terminal B.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 4

  1. Inspect for proper terminal contact at the fuel door release switch connector.
  2. If OK, replace the fuel door release switch.

Is the symptom still present?

Go to Step 5

  1. Disconnect the fuel door release actuator connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between actuator connector terminal B and ground.
  3. Install the fuel door release switch.
  4. Activate the switch.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Connect a test lamp between the fuel door release actuator terminals A and B.
  2. Activate the fuel door release switch.

Does the test lamp light?

Test for an open in CKT 79, PNK.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Inspect for proper terminal contact at the fuel door release actuator connector.
  2. If OK, replace the fuel door release actuator.

  1. Inspect ground G302 for proper terminal contact.
  2. If OK, repair open in CKT 1050 (BLK).

  2. Connect a fused jumper between release switch connector terminal A and terminal B.
  3. Connect a test lamp between actuator connector terminal B and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Test for an open in CKT 1050, BLK.
  2. Inspect ground G302 for proper terminal contact.
  3. Inspect for proper terminal contact at the fuel door release actuator connector.
  4. If OK, replace the fuel door release actuator.
