Did you perform the Power Mirrors System Check?

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

  1. Disconnect the RH outside rear view mirror connector.
  2. Disconnect the outside mirror switch connector.
  3. Connect the digital multimeter (DMM) between the mirror switch connector terminal E and the RH outside rear view mirror connector terminal B.

Does the resistance measure within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 3

Connect a DMM between the outside mirror switch connector terminal M and the RH outside rear view mirror connector terminal A.

Does the resistance measure within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 5

Repair a faulty connection or an open in CKT 881 (RED/WHT). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Connect a DMM between the outside mirror switch connector terminal C and the RH outside rear view mirror connector terminal C.

Does the resistance measure within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 7

Repair a faulty connection or an open in CKT 82 (LT BLU). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Connect a DMM between the outside mirror switch connector terminal S and the RH outside rear view mirror connector terminal D.

Does the resistance measure within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Repair a faulty connection or open in CKT 889 (PPL/WHT). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Move the mirror select switch to the right position.
  2. Connect a DMM between the RH outside rear view mirror connector terminal C and ground.
  3. Position the mirror switch to the down position.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

Repair a faulty connection or an open in CKT 88 (YEL). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Connect a DMM between the RH outside rear view mirror connector terminal B and ground.
  2. Position the mirror switch to the right position.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

Test the mirror switch connector terminal contact.

Is there proper terminal contact?

Test the RH outside rear view mirror connector terminal contact.

Is there proper terminal contact?
