Was the entire Oldsmobile Lumbar System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the lumbar seat module connector C1.
  2. Disconnect the lumbar seat module connector C2.
  3. Connect a DMM from the lumbar seat module connector C2 cavity A (RED) (LH) or connector C1 cavity E (RED) (RH) to ground.
  4. Operate the upper inflate switch.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10 - 15 V

Go to Step 3

Connect a DMM from the lumbar seat module connector C2 cavity C (YEL) (LH) or cavity B (YEL) (RH) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10 - 15 V

Go to Step 4

Replace the lumbar seat module.

Is the lumbar seat module replacement complete?

Test CKT 387 (RED) (LH) or CKT 756 (RED) (RH) for an open between the seat lock switch and the lumbar seat module. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 387 or CKT 756 OK?

Test CKT 386 (YEL) (LH) or CKT 757 (YEL) (RH) for an open between the seat lock switch and the lumbar seat module. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 386 or CKT 757 OK?

Replace the seat/lock switch.

Is the seat/lock switch replacement complete?
