Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 41531  Size: SH
  1. Loosen both clean air duct clamps.
  2. Remove the duct from the air cleaner and rotate duct upwards around the Mass Air Flow Sensor.

  3. Object Number: 41529  Size: SH
  4. Dis-connect the IAT sensor connector from the IAT sensor.
  5. Disengage both air cleaner cover latches.
  6. Remove the air cleaner cover.
  7. Inspect the air cleaner element for dust, dirt, and water.
  8. Replace the air cleaner element if required.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the air cleaner cover making sure both latches are fully engaged.

  2. Object Number: 41531  Size: SH
  3. Re-connect the IAT sensor.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Rotate the clean air duct down and install on the air cleaner cover.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten both clean air duct clamps to 3.5 N·m (31 lb in) at the throttle body and 1.8  N·m (16 lb in) at the air cleaner.
