Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 650766  Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the left fascia extension. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement in Bumpers.
  3. Compress the pinch clamp and remove the outlet hose (3) from the pump.
  4. Reposition the hose into the engine compartment.
  5. Remove the crossover pipe (4) fasteners.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Remove the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
  8. Remove the master cylinder nuts.
  9. Reposition the master cylinder.
  10. Remove the crossover pipe fasteners.
  11. Remove the crossover pipe from the shut-off valves and the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the crossover pipe to the shut-off valves and the vehicle.
  2. Install the crossover pipe fasteners.
  3. Reposition the master cylinder to the booster.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the master cylinder nuts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

  7. Install the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
  8. Raise the vehicle.

  9. Object Number: 601190  Size: SH
  10. Install the crossover pipe fasteners.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten all of the fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  12. Compress the pinch clamp and install the outlet hose to the pump.
  13. Install the left fascia extension. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement in Bumpers.
  14. Lower the vehicle.
