Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the radio from the instrument panel (IP) in order to disconnect the GPS antenna connection at the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  2. Remove the IP upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Remove the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement in HVAC Systems - Automatic.

  4. Object Number: 798721  Size: SH
  5. Remove the electrical connectors (1) from the retainer in order to gain access to the GPS antenna retaining clips.
  6. Important: Note the GPS antenna cable routing in order to route the GPS antenna cable properly during assembly.

  7. Remove the antenna cable hold down clips.

  8. Object Number: 790033  Size: SH
  9. Remove the bracket (1) securing the GPS antenna assembly.
  10. Tie a string to the radio end of the antenna to aid in the reinstallation.
  11. Remove the GPS antenna (1) through the top of the IP.
  12. Untie the string from the old antenna.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 790033  Size: SH
  1. Tie the string to the new antenna.
  2. Route the GPS antenna cable as noted during disassembly.
  3. Install the clips (2) in order to secure the cable to the IP.
  4. Install the GPS antenna bracket (1).

  5. Object Number: 798721  Size: SH
  6. Install the electrical connectors to the IP retainer.
  7. Install the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement in HVAC Systems - Automatic.
  8. Install the IP upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  9. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
