Customers of a 1988 Cutlass Calais equipped with the Driver Information System (DIS) may comment that the incorrect day is displayed when using the ETA (estimated time of arrival) mode only. This condition is caused by a software error programmed into the DIS unit and only occurs during a leap year (1988, 1992, 1996, etc.).

Customers of a 1988 or 1989 Cutlass Calais built from February 1, 1988 - September 1, 1988 (VIN's JM252060 - JM310276 and VIN's KM200021 - KM205204), equipped with the Driver Information System may comment that an incorrect tach display occurs between the following:
2950 RPM - 3000 RPM DIS Reads 2:00 3950 RPM - 4000 RPM DIS Reads 3:00 4950 RPM - 5000 RPM DIS Reads 4:00
This condition is also caused by a software error programmed into the DIS unit.
If any of the above conditions occur they can be repaired by replacing the Driver Information System Unit with Part Number 22548166.
