Purpose

All vehicles are equipped with a Temp Lamp Hot Light. The Temp Lamp Hot indicates when the engine coolant has reached a temperature that can cause engine damage.

Temp Lamp

The Temp Lamp will illuminate when the engine is running and the engine coolant temperature exceeds 123°C (253°F). The Temp Lamp will turn OFF whenever the engine coolant temperature falls below 120°C (248°F). The Temp Lamp will not illuminate if DTCs P0117 or P0118 are set.
