SUBJECT: EXHAUST TAILPIPE EXTENSION PAINT CHIPPING REPLACE EXTENSION

MODELS/YEARS: 1991 CUTLASS SUPREME OR CUTLASS SUPREME INTERNATIONAL W/3.1 L (VIN T) ENGINE

CONDITION: Some 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme International Series or Cutlass Supreme models with the Sport Equipment Package (RPO BYP), equipped with 3.1 L (VIN T) engine and built prior to vehicle number MD354572, may exhibit paint chipping/flaking on the exhaust tallpipe extensions.

CAUSE: Poor adhesion characteristics of the paint used on the tailpipe extensions.

CORRECTION: If this condition is encountered, the existing exhaust tailpipe extensions may be replaced with P/N 101 14797 for the left side and P/N 101 14798 for the right side. Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
