Remove the engine assembly as outlined in the Cutlass Supreme Service Manual. Remove all plastic shipping plugs and covers from the exchange engine and install them on the removed engine.
If the removed engine leaks, mark the leak area on the engine. Using a red pen, mark each area of leakage on the leak identification illustrations provided with exchange engine. Write the TAS case number on the leak identification forms.
Package the return engine in the container used to ship the exchange engine.
Place oil and coolant sample bottles, leak identification illustrations/forms and a copy of repair order in original envelope and attach it to the returning engine.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
