SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE-SEC 10-6 DOOR WINDOW WEATHERSTRIP

SUBJECT: SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE - SECTION 10-6 - DOOR WINDOW WEATHERSTRIP - FRONT DOOR

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1993 OLDSMOBILE "W" MODELS

The Service Manual procedure contained in this update supersedes the procedure published on page 10-6-12 of the 1993 "W" car Oldsmobile Service Manual.

DOOR WINDOW WEATHERSTRIP - FRONT DOOR (Except Convertible)

Remove or Disconnect

1. Door trim panel.

2. Inner belt sealing strip.

3. Outside mirror and filler assembly.

4. Window assembly.

5. Upper guide loop cover and nut.

6. Door frame applique (Sedan only).

7. Door frame garnish moldings.

8. Door window weatherstrip by grasping weatherstrip and removing from door flange.

Install or Connect

1. Door window weatherstrip.

Start at upper rear corner and working downward, seating vertical leg of weatherstrip into door frame and below the belt line.

Work forward from upper rear corner, seating weatherstrip into door window frame across top and down front portion of door and continue to belt line.

2. Door frame garnish moldings.

3. Door frame applique (Sedan only).

4. Upper guide loop cover and nut.

5. Window assembly.

6. Outside mirror and filler assembly.

7. Inner belt sealing strip.

8. Door trim panel.
