Removal Procedure

Tools Required

    •  J 28467-360 Engine Support Fixture
    •  J 35953 Engine Support Foot Modification
    •  J 28467-90 Engine Support Fixture Adapters
  1. Remove the negative battery cable. Refer to

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  2. Raise the vehicle. Suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Support in General Information.
  3. Remove the engine mount bracket to engine bolts.
  4. Raise the engine in order to provide clearance. Use the J 28467-360 , the J 35953 and the J 28467-90 .

  6. Remove the engine mount to engine mount bracket nuts.
  7. Remove the engine mount bracket.

Installation Procedure

Tools Required

    •  J 35953 Engine Support Foot Modification
    •  J 28467-90 Engine Support Fixture Adapters

  1. Install the engine mount to the mount bracket
  2. Install the nuts connecting the engine mount to the bracket.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Lower the engine.
  5. Install the bracket to the engine.
  6. Install the bolts connecting the engine mount bracket to the engine.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 102 N·m (75 lb ft).

  8. Lower the vehicle
  9. Remove the J 28467-360 , the J 35953 , and the J 28467-90 .
  10. Connect the negative battery cable.
