Removal Procedure
- Remove the negative battery
cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
.
- Pull back the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to
Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Left Side
.
- Remove the electrical connector (3) from the fuel pump control
module.
- Remove the fuel pump control module (1) attaching nut (2).
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the fuel
pump control module (1) attaching nut (2).
Tighten
Tighten the fuel pump control module attaching nut to 9 N·m
(80 lb in).
- Install the electrical connector (3) to the fuel pump control
module (1).
- Re-position the trunk liner. Refer to
Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Left Side

- Install the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
.
